One of the five tenets of Transcendentalism is free thought. Us as human beings have our own natural rights and free thought is one of those rights. A good thing about free thought is no matter what no one can take away our own free thought. Emerson quotes "All I have seen teaches me to trust the creator for all I have not seen."This is Ralph Waldo Emerson's free thought on how everything he has learned he trusts his creator for the stuff he must just believe in and learn later.
Aaron I agree with you and everyone has their own free thought and no one has the same thoughts everyone is different. Love you see u later.
ReplyDeleteAaron, your picture was supposed to represent free thought and I feel like you caught that for the most part in your reflection more than the image. I don't feel like it caught one concept in particular which to me was thinking or even taking it a step further and speaking freely. The image shows someone getting assaulted and I don't think people get beaten for free thought now in this century. at least for the most part. Also when you said " Us as human beings have our own natural rights and free thought is one of those rights." I felt that we didn't always have that right. For example, Kings and Queens would punish by death or imprisonment for what we call free thought today. Point being we as the people were not always right for speaking our feelings. Especially if your hurt the feelings of the person in power. You did a great job of bringing your thoughts across Aaron your free thoughts I mean.
